New High Value Coupon for Select General Mills Cereals!
This coupon would be great to combine with a sale, and is good on Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cocoa Puffs, Lucky Charms, or Trix.
You might be thinking, "Oh no, not those sugary cereals!" I admit that I try not to just buy "kid" cereals either, but my kids love them, and I don't serve them every day.
More importantly, General Mills has commited to reducing sugar in cereals marketed to children under 12 to under 10 grams of sugar per serving and increasing calcium and vitamin D--something I'm concerned about after I found out recently I was severely deficient in vitamin D! Watch for these changes in your kids favorite General Mills cereals soon!
Other facts you may not know:
- Ready-to-eat cereals, including presweetened cereals, account for only 5% of sugar in children´s diets.
- Ready-to-eat cereal is the No. 1 source of whole grains in a child´s diet today.
- More frequent cereal eaters tend to have healthier body weights and lower Body Mass Index measures.
I feed my kids a variety of breakfast foods, but I don't forbid the fun cereals they love!

This Giveaway Has Ended--Lottay Online Gift Giving Site is Giving One MomsWhoSave Visitor $100! -- Deadline to Enter Extended!
The holidays are over, but if you didn't get everything you wanted, it's not too late. MomsWhoSave and the Lottay gift-giving site are offering one lucky reader $100 to spend on ANYTHING you choose! That's right, we're giving away $100 for you to spend however you want--either for yourself or someone else!
Here's how it works: Unlike other online gift giving sites or wish lists on sites like Amazon, Lottay gifts are money, not a physical product. The monetary gift is sent instantly and securely (using Paypal) and delivered as a surprise via email and/or Facebook. Gift givers can specify the gift they would like the money to buy--from a cup of coffee to a Caribbean cruise and beyond--while receivers are free to use the money to buy the intended gift or anything else they want. By the way, you don't have to have Paypal to receive the money. You can have it delivered to your checking account or mailed as a check.
I know I'll be keeping this site in mind for next Christmas and throughout this year for all those people on my list who are difficult to buy for.
