Confused by all those coupon terms and abbreviations? Here's a guide to just about all of the coupon lingo you'll ever need to know!
BLINKIES – In-store Smart Source coupons
BOGO/B1G1 – Buy One Get One
B2G1 – Buy Two Get One
CATALINA – Coupon printed at the register after purchase
DND – Do not double (sometimes found on coupons)
DOUBLE COUPON – Grocery stores may double your coupons' value up to a certain amount
EB/ECB – ExtraCare Bucks (CVS)
FAR – Free After Rebate
GM – General Mills (Sunday insert)
Hangtag – A coupon or form hanging from a tag around the neck of a bottle or jar.
IP – Internet printable
MIR – Mail-in-rebate
NLA – No longer available
OYNO – On your next order
OOP – Out of pocket
P&G – Proctor & Gamble (Sunday insert)
PEELIE – Coupon you peel off a package
POP – Proof of purchase
RC – Rain Check
RP – Red Plum (Sunday insert)
RR – Register Rewards (Walgreens)
SMP – Specially marked packages
SS – Smart Source (Sunday insert)
STACKING – Using manufacturer’s & store's coupons or rebates together on one item.
TEAR PAD – Pad of coupons or rebate forms.
WYB – When you buy
YMMV – Your Mileage May Vary (Means "your results may vary. Deal may not work the same for you.)
