Free Admission to National Parks this Saturday, September 25th, plus Check Out The Junior Ranger Program
Here’s a freebie for you to enjoy this Saturday, September, 25th. The National Park System is waiving their normal entrance fees at over 100 national parks. It’s a beautiful time of year to take advantage of our national parks, so visit their website here to learn more and find a park near you. (You’ll also notice there’s another fee-free day coming up in November.)
Many park concessioners are also offering specials, making this an even better deal. There’s a link to these offers on the National Parks’ website too.
This may be a busy day, so call ahead if you plan to camp overnight and find out about reservations.
If you have kids, you might want to check out this link as well. It’s all about the Park’s Junior Ranger program. (There’s a long list of participating parks.) Kids complete a series of activities at the park, and receive an official Junior Ranger badge or patch and Junior Ranger certificate.
Be sure to subscribe to my blog (right side of this page) for notices of these free offers!

FriXion Erasable Pens Review and Coupon
I was recently offered some FriXion erasable gel pens from Pilot to review. The first thing I thought of was the erasable pens from when I was a kid. Who remembers those?
The ink smudged, and if you did try to erase with them, you mostly just smeared ink across the page. If you tried a little harder to erase, you probably made a hole in your paper.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that this is NOT the case with the new FriXion erasable pens. They write like a regular pen, and when you need to erase, they erase completely with no smudges and no damage to your paper—very cool!
Pilot also makes FriXion erasable highlighters. Again, they’re just like a regular highlighter, but they do erase cleanly—nice!
If you’d like to give them a try, grab your $1 coupon here.
Disclosure: I received FriXion pens and highlighters courtesy of SheSpeaks.com for the purposes of this review. All opinions are my own.
