1. Craft homemade Valentines to take to friends, neighbors and loved ones. Raid your stash of craft supplies for card stock, ribbon, glitter, doilies, markers, stickers and other fun embellishments. 5. Surprise your children with a pink and red love themed breakfast! It’s amazing what a little red and pink food coloring can do to transform traditional breakfast food. Squeeze a few drops in pancake batter, whipping cream, milk or cupcake mix to add a little flair to their food. They will think it is so much fun! A little effort goes a long way!

6. Prepare a fun afternoon snack of heart shaped sugar cookies and strawberry milk. Whip up your favorite sugar cookie recipe, or buy pre-made cookies. Add frosting and candy embellishments, or save the decorating for the children. Either way, you may just win “parent of the year”.

7. Make a coupon book for each child with coupons they can redeem throughout the year. Some ideas could include:

• Good for a game night.
• Good for a batch of your favorite cookies.
