Again this year, many restaurants are offering freebies for Veterans Day!

These deals usually apply to veterans, active duty military personnel, guard and reserve members, and all retired service members.

To get most of these free offers, you'll need some kind of proof of service, such as an ID card or just wearing your uniform. But as with almost all offers, you want to check with your local restaurant to make sure they are participating and double check to see what kind of ID, if any, you should bring.

Here is the big list of restaurants offering free meals to veterans this Veteran's Day, November 11th.

Applebees Free Meal
On Monday, November 11th, veterans and active duty military can choose from a free signature Thank You Meal menu that includes some of Applebee’s favorite items, including a 7 oz. House Sirloin, Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburger, Three-Cheese Chicken & Sundried Tomato Penne, Fiesta Lime Chicken, Double Crunch Shrimp, Chicken Tenders Platter or Oriental Chicken Salad. You must present valid a Veteran’s form of identification or be in uniform.

Bar Louie Free Lunch or Dinner
From open to close Sunday, November 10th and Monday, November 11th every Bar Louie location across the country will offer veterans and military personnel a free meal up to a $12 value when they show valid military I.D. or other proof of service.

California Pizza Kitchen
On Monday, November 11, all veterans or active duty military personnel will be able to get any pizza from the menu for free (dine-in only). Tips Before Heading Out

• Check the official site information and rules before heading out.  Many websites are still listing previous years promotions that are no longer valid.
• Be sure to bring proof of military service, uniform photo or be in uniform.  Proof of military service varies by company. See the list of states now offering a Veterans designation on a driver’s license.
• Pay attention to the dates on the Veterans Day offer as some offers are for Sunday, November 10th or extended over several days.
• Be aware that many of the restaurant free meals are for dine-in only.
• Check the fine print on some of these promotions that includes "participating locations only."  Unfortunately individual franchisees may choose not to participate. Fortunately, some franchisee’s participate even if the corporate company does not.
• Call ahead if you’re unsure about anything to avoid disappointment.
