Celebrate Humanitarian Heroes on World Humanitarian Day
World Humanitarian Day falls on August 19th, the day in 2003 when 22 aid
workers were killed in a bombing at the UN headquarters in Baghdad. It's
a day to commemorate all people who have lost their lives in
humanitarian service and to celebrate the spirit that inspires
humanitarian work around the world.
Celebrate the many
#HumanitarianHeroes out there, bringing aid to millions of people who
are in crisis. Sign up. Take action. Become a Messenger of Humanity.
As part of the Messenger of Humanity community you will receive the
latest advocacy campaigns from humanitarian organizations working with
their call to action that you can share on your social networks and
amplify the message.
The first day of action is August 19th, World Humanitarian Day. This
is a day to celebrate humanitarians around the world. In an effort to
build a global sense of momentum, we will call on our Messengers of
Humanity to take an important social action on this day.
We aim to build momentum around that important date, so be sure to stay tuned for updates on how you can help celebrate and support the good
work of #HumantiarianHeroes far and wide.
