Last week I told you we were on our way to
Wet’N Wild Emerald Pointe. Well,
we made it, and the day turned out perfectly. We couldn’t have asked for better
weather, and we had a blast!
My older teenage son had to work, so my younger one took
his friend along, but that was the only hiccup in our plans. The two
boys had a great time. I made them stick with us for a little while so I could take their photo, but then just had them check in every hour or so. I
didn’t realize that Wet’N Wild announces the time hourly so that you can meet up with your friends or relatives--or, in our case,
your kids will know to check in. This is just one of those little things a company can do that makes a difference.
Another thing I appreciated was the abundance of life jackets all over the
park. It’s included in the admission price—you just grab what you need in kid’s
or adult sizes. There were also lifeguards absolutely everywhere, and it was
clear that they were very focused on their jobs. It made me feel confident about
letting my son and his friend go on off on their own. Although they are young
teens, I’m an overprotective mom.
So, let me take you on a tour of
Wet’N Wild Emerald Pointe. Keep in
mind, this certainly doesn’t
begin to cover the whole park! You’ve got to experience it
for yourself, and you still have time to make the trip. You also get
$5 off per ticket with code 14006 when you
buy online here. If you live in the Carolinas, check out the season ticket prices too. If you visit the park a few times, they will you save you money!
You can see
photos of the park's biggest water rides in my previous post
here. I didn't tag along with the boys everywhere, so I missed them going on those. They were the only ones that seemed to have any kind of line. I was actually pleasantly surprised to see that the park was not too crowded. I think because it's so large and has so much too do, people are really spread out over the whole park. We were always able to grab a lounge chair and none of the pools were too crowded.
I can highly recommend
Wet'N Wild Emerald Pointe if you're in or near the Carolinas. This park is fun for kids of all ages, and the adults will love it too!

Looks fun. We'll be heading that way next week. Where in the Carolinas is it?
Greensboro, Rene -- in the central part of North Carolina!
