This Giveaway Has Ended--Primo Water Dispenser Review and Giveaway

Yes, it's another giveaway, and you're going to love this one. I know I do!

MomsWhoSave is giving away a
Primo water dispenser. This is a nice one too guys!

L
et me tell you why I'm so excited about this giveaway. I moved four years ago from a city that had amazingly good--no make that GREAT-tasting water. Our water was literally used in bottled water. Then I moved to where I live now, where you couldn't pay me to drink what comes out my faucet. I don't know how it passes whatever tests the city puts it through. I love this city, don't get me wrong, but this water makes my coffee look like sludge, and is just not drinkable. So...we've been buying water for four years. Lately we've been buying water bottles. I know how horrible that is for the environment, and we kid my son about the collection of them he's starting in his room. I don't even want to think about the how much money we've spent.

With all that in mind, I was thrilled to be offered a Primo water dispenser to review and another to give away! It didn't take long to fall in love. Here's why:

  • It loads from the bottom--no lifting heavy water bottles up onto the water cooler
  • Did I just say "cooler?" It's not just a cooler! It dispenses cold and hot water (hot enough for hot cocoa, tea, instant soup, etc.) I'm finding myself drinking more tea!
  • The ugly water bottle is hidden -- fits in much nicer with your other appliances
  • It has a nightlight! A soft light shines near where water's dispensed so if you wake up for a drink of water during the night, you can see what you're doing.
  • It just looks great & you have three designs to choose from
  • The refill bottles are available down the street at the grocery store we shop at a few times a week (actually they're available almost everywhere, but this is really convenient)
There are only two concerns or questions I want to address for you. First, the energy costs of heating and cooling the water. These are Energy Star-rated appliances, which makes me feel better than if they weren't, but I don't know if there'll be any impact on my electricity bills.

You can choose to turn off the hot water but
ton if you'd like, by the way. Then you won't pay to maintain the reservoir of heated water.

The only other concern I can think of is the hot water dispenser and child safety. There is a child-proof button that dispenses the hot water. You essentially have to press two things at the same time to make the hot water flow. And, the buttons are at the very top of the dispenser.

In general, our whole family is so glad we have the Primo water dispenser, and we're definitely drinking more water! If you're currently buying water, I would urge you to consider the convenience and savings you get with the Primo dispenser.

family?

I am a die-hard chocolate lover. I drink hot chocolate all year round. So I'd love to win the water dispenser JUST for the hot water dispensing half of it. And the cold water dispenser would help me get rid of the old milk jugs of water we keep in the fridge that take up too much space.

I visited Break Free's blog and I was surprised to learn about all the contaminants that could possibly be in the water I drink from the tap everyday - arsenic?! contact with sewage?! EW!

I want to win this Primo Water Dispenser because my family & I would drink more water with this really cool dispenser. We already have a Culligan one that we are renting but the Primo dispensers look easier & nicer, we have to put our big ole water jug on top of the dispenser & with the Primo one it just goes in underneath!! I'd love to have this one!!

I learned from breakfree411.com that schools in all 50 states have drinking water that contain toxins!!!!

My workplace can give me a discount on my water and bottles as we go to a water bottle service center to get our lab water so I would love to win this.

I took the Break Free Challenge on their website and I am following you on my feed for my blog and on my iPhone. I've also reposted the twitter message. I hope I win because we are spending out the behind for bottled water right now. Did you know CA adds the cost of recycling onto every bottle that you buy and you have to take everything to the recycling center to get your money back? I recycle everything in a recycling tub through a service that comes to my door but I don't get money back, I have to pay them to pick it up. I'm getting hit twice!

I checked out http://www.momswhosave.com/ and have to say that I am partial to the Tiger Direct deals because my husband loves to buy his electronics for work from Tiger Direct. He was able to purchase a GREAT monitor for our baby room. Now I can watch her on television and I do not have to get out of bed and be an obsessive new mommy.:-) Tiger Direct needs more publicity so they are my pick!

I made the breakfree pledge. Cant stand how many plastic waterbottles we use. This would be a great motivater.

I really need this! I took the break free pledge, but we have well water that is not exactly drinking friendly. I could really use a new water cooler to "break free" from my bottled water.

I am following Breakfree411 as WritewhereUr on Twitter. Where we live, the water tastes nasty and people regularily buy bottled water.

I want to give my family the best water possible. I would love to win the Primo water dispenser. There are too many chemicals in our environment & in the water supply. I want to do everything in my power to protect the health and well being of my family and having safe, fresh water should be a big part of everyday living.

I already took the pledge and I tweeted. Thank you!
